How They Wear: Our Process
We test, review, and showcase the four key pillars of men’s underwear for you:
1. Fabric & Design: Knowing the fabric type or blend is useful, but more importantly is how that fabric is constructed in relation to the whole garment, how it’s designed to be worn, handle movement, layer, and so on.
2. Waistband: Is it slim and relaxed? Wide and secure? Incorporated into the body of the garment? There might be more going on with your waistband than you realize.
3. Pouch: It’s often the make-or-break feature of men’s underwear. We cover the design type, how it’s constructed inside and out, any specific or defining details, and the level of support it provides.
4. Legs: Often-overlooked aspects of men’s underwear: inseam length and hem stitching (and, yes, there are several varying styles and techniques). We cover how these influence the fit, feel, and layering of your underwear.
